Web remote control

The browser console, mobile operation and synchronisation with the desktop.

The web console is installed with the core package (quatm.web) and served by the Web Hub. It is not a reduced viewer: it shares the same experiment queue, scans, preparation file, looper and property tree as the desktop GUI.

Capabilities

  • Monitoring — live curves, message log and camera images.
  • Experiments — experiment browser, experiment windows and a queue synchronised with the desktop.
  • Dashboard — instrument parameters grouped by device, with units, limits and steps.
  • Data — per-run live tracking, HDF5 archive browsing, fits and CSV export.
  • Properties — browse and edit the shared property tree.
  • Analysis — start and stop analysis jobs shared with the desktop.
  • Timeline — FPGA sequence visualisation and device mapping.
  • Notifications — push notification configuration.
  • Processes — view and control services, drivers and GUI processes on the experiment PC.

Remote access

The Web Hub binds to a configurable endpoint. For remote access use an SSH tunnel or a reverse proxy with authentication; never expose an unauthenticated control endpoint to an untrusted network. See the Web console README for endpoint, token and firewall guidance.

Mobile operation

The layout adapts to phones and tablets: horizontally scrolling navigation, single-column stacking, larger touch targets and charts sized for small screens. The same permissions and data model apply as on the desktop.

Synchronisation

Because both clients use the same Hubs and message protocol, an action on one client is immediately visible on the other. Queue entries, scan definitions, preparation state, loop logic and property values cannot diverge between the desktop and the browser.
