Data Widgets
Experiment parameter editing widgets: FloatBox/BoolBox/ComboBox, writing changes straight back to the parameter attribute.
Overview
quatm/GUI/widgets/arg_boxes.py provides data widgets: a family of input boxes that present
experiment parameters as editable controls. FloatBox / BoolBox / ComboBox and the other widgets
subclass the corresponding manager (FloatManager / BoolManager / ComboManager), carry a unit,
range and step, and write a changed value straight back to the attribute (including last_set); they
are used by the parameter grid of the experiment window and by the parameter system.
Components
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
FloatBox | Floating-point parameter input box |
BoolBox | Boolean parameter checkbox |
ComboBox | Drop-down list parameter |
IntManager / FloatManager / BoolManager / ComboManager / FrequencyManager | Widget managers for the individual parameter types |
Usage
from quatm.GUI.widgets.arg_boxes import FloatBox, BoolBox, ComboBox
# usually the parameter system generates the matching widget from the parameter declaration
For a fuller description see Parameter boxes and Parameter system.
